Sustainability
From production halls to insect hotels.
Here at CONNEX, sustainable thinking is in our DNA. For instance, our new industrial hall is a timber construction that absorbs 417 tonnes of CO2, Energy is partly obtained from our own solar panels which are not only installed on the roof of the industrial hall but also on all side roofs and on the south and west facades, and we reuse all our waste water. And even when it comes to the small things, our company is making a big difference: we've set up an insect hotel for our six-legged friends, while amphibians can sun themselves on the rocks in our nature garden. Meanwhile, our colourful wildflower meadow is a tranquil haven for our staff and the occasional walker.

Curved monitors, height-adjustable desks, modern machinery: we pull out all the stops to ensure the wellbeing of our employees. Our outdoor area is nestled in the natural world and offers a change of scenery from the industrial spaces indoors. Staff can spend their well-deserved breaks here in good weather, or else head to the coffee point for some downtime.
History
Our roots.
CONNEX AG was established in 1941 in Rüschlikon, a municipality in the canton of Zurich. Soon afterwards, the CONNEX toothed slot was invented. The company grew from these humble beginnings, opening a production site in Wädenswil, another municipality in Zurich, in 1945. A new plant was built in 1986 amongst the green meadows of Reiden in the canton of Lucerne. This was subsequently extended and modernised in 2016. Since 1979, CONNEX INC. has also been producing our CONNEX products for the North American market from its subsidiary in Fairview, Pennsylvania.
